Pours a ruby, dark brown color with ample off-white head. Smells like malt. Taste is caramel sweetness, malts, floral hop bitterness, toasted biscuit, and a hint of dark fruits. Alcohol warming is present, and the hops are a bit more than expected from the style and color. A bit too sweet and ultimately unmemorable, but serviceable.
