A good IPA is the base, obviously. We doubled it. Cranked up all the hops (Magnum, Cascade, Mosaic). Brewed the whole with top-shelf Earl Grey tea - used the tea as we learned it in the salmon of doubt. Thrilled the result with the bergamot essence used originally to flavor the tea. Whatever. Is it 5'o clock yet?

Szép vanilia sárga, tartós hab. Gyümölcsös illat, kissé édeskés íz mellé citrusos-komlós lecsengés társul, erősen bergamottos aromával.

I had tea-infused IPAs before but this was the only one where I could feel the tea. Actually it wasn't when I was drinking it - then it felt mostly like a dense Double IPA. It was when I finished the beer, when sniffing into the cup started smelling like black tea. The kind of sweet black tea they used to give you back in school when you were a kid. This was enough to make it an interesting beer. Not sure if I would drink it again, but it was good enough.

On tap. Clear golden color with off-white head. Aroma has sweet malt, honey, hop resin and black tea notes. Taste is sweet at first with orange rind, pine resin and black tea bitterness on the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Balanced and easy drinking for a DIPA.

Dark orange color with a small head. Smells mostly of sweet citrusy malts. Taste follows suit with a nice resin aftertaste. Good balance between the fruity sweetness and resin bitterness. Mouthfeel is both crisp and well carbonated. Rock solid beer.
