Bright gold in the glass with some pretty intense chill haze. Half a finger white head that drops quickly leaving webby lacing. The aroma is all grainy malty with a little hop underneath. The taste follows the aroma, with a really strong unfermented wort taste. Thick and chewy with a sweet, cereal twang. Neither dry nor refreshing; neither substantive nor rich. Just kinda strange...
I imagine these guys are still tweaking their system and getting into the swing of things (although they have been opened for a few months already), and I will give them another shot over the winter to see some of their other beers, but this was a mess. I couldn't finish it for all my trying. Regardless, this area of town needed a brewery so hopefully they'll do well.
