A soft, dark golden porter of the original school brewed from a mixture of light, smoke, red caramel, amber, brown and dark roasted Pallas malt, wheat, caramelized sugar, licorice root, chili, ginger, linseed, cinnamon and hops*, bottom fermented.
The dark malts are specially produced by long-term baking, by roasting and smoking the day before brewing, while caramelization is carried out in large pots during the mashing. Bottled 3-5-2013 Shelf life min. 5 years stored cold and dark.

Copenhagen 2/9 2021. 40 cl from tap at Kølsters Tolv Haner, Rantzausgade, Kbh. N. As Kølster Porter with an ABV of 7,5.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small light beige head. Settles as thin patch of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of dark, roasted malts mingling with light earthy notes. Brown sugar, toffee, roastiness. Hints of coffee and leather.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is a bit bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Pretty light and hides the alcohol pretty well. Nice one.
