German-Style Keller Pilsner
A taste of the Old World, out first pilsner is brewed with Pilsner and Munich malt. Extended lagering has created a clean and smooth beer without lacking in body and flavor. Subtle notes of biscuit and cereal lead to a crisp and refreshing finish.
Grains: Pilsner and Munich
Hops: Tettnager
Yeast: Augustiner

I had this beer on-tap in a becher glass at the Incendiary taproom in Raleigh.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a relatively haze free body and a thin layer of ivory foam.
Smell: aroma kinda pulls equally in the grainy - sweet - yeasty directions. Not bad at all.
Taste: nice combination of malty and yeasty; the menu says German style pilsner but this is definitely more of a kellerbier. Hops and bitterness are certainly present but not overbearing. This is very nice by the kellerbier standard!
Mouthfeel: medium light body with a really good carbonation and a very smooth creaminess for the style.
Overall: this beer really started to appeal to me. I think that if I came here often, this would be my go-to.

Pours a gold color with a minimal head that disappears quickly. Aroma of grains and floral notes. Taste is peppery with a bitter finish. Crisp and dry.

A: Pours a relatively clear pale to medium yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and faint straw yellow + lemon yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy foamy white head that reduces to a large patch of thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Light to moderate aromas of bready + cracker malts with minimal amounts of sweetness. Moderate aromas of yeast and a hint of spicy hops.
T: Upfront there are just shy of moderate flavors of bready + cracker malts with minimal amounts of sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of yeast. Finally there is a light flavor of spicy hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which does not linger too long.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Hints of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasant mouthfeel. Refreshing and enjoyable though a touch yeastier than I expected for the style.

A: The beer is relatively clear yellow in color and has a hint of amber hues along with faint amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that hardly died down.
S: Light to moderate aromas of yeast and pilsener malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell but has much stronger flavors of yeast along with underlying notes of pilsner malts.
M: It feels nearly medium-bodied and slightly "chewy" on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. There is some dryness in the finish.
O: This kellerbier is very yeasty, particularly in the taste.
Serving type: can
