My second experience (points) with Incendiary. Great 500ML bottle: sweet wax, stunning bottle art & name, I even like the font. Bottled 9/5/23.
Deader than a necrotic black Friday, Nose is rich & sweet, dominated by the maple with a backlog of chocolate. I love chocolate.
Untethered Angel can strap me down anytime. I can’t keep my little hobbit hands off of the glass. Taste echoes the nose: this is insanely rich & similarly sweet, like having your cavities filled with maple rather than resin. Bourbon comes on as it warms, along with smaller pings of chocolate, wood, soft alcohol, umami, all bedded down in a warm comforter of malty goodness.
Delicious.

Appearance: Pours a bubble show, the beige head forming two fingers above the pitch black liquid; good retention with shards of lacing
Smell: Rich chocolate, roast, black bread and a hint of maple; the Bourbon barrel tones envelop
Taste: The maple and Bourbon flavors intermingle, up front, with roast, black bread and chocolate underneath; a boozy burn, in the middle, with a lot of oak in the finish
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with low to moderate carbonation; warmth in the gullet
Overall: Not a bad first BA release from this brewery; a little hot through the middle but the flavors are very nice and the maple is a nice adjunct
