A: Pours a very slightly hazy medium golden honey in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate copper + brassy + medium golden yellow + apricot + peach + pale orange colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense creamy sudsy foamy off-white head that slowly reduces to a medium to large sized patch of medium thick film covering a little more than 25% of the surface of the beer surrounded by a large patch of slightly mottled very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of tropical/pineapple + citrus/orange + citrus/grapefruit zest + tropical/mango + pine hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of biscuit + caramel malts with a light to moderate amounts of caramel sweetness.
T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of biscuit + caramel malts with a light to moderate amounts of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of tropical/pineapple + citrus/orange + citrus/grapefruit zest + tropical/mango + pine hops which impart a moderate amount of lingering bitterness.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp with a very light amount of softness mid-body and a light amount of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly refreshing mouthfeel. Enjoyable with a really nice hop profile, some bitterness (though not overly aggressive), and just enough malty sweetness. A very nice homage to Pliny the Elder.
