Thanks to Brent for this one. 500ml waxed and capped bottle into BBT stemware.
Pours dense and slick. No lace, no head. Thick, oily, filmy legs. Nose is heavy on the barrel. There's also hints of chocolate, anise, coconut, and sweet soy sauce. Very aromatic. Beer opens boozy sweet soy sauce, semi-sweet chocolate, molasses, and loads of barrel character. Toasted coconut and vanilla in the middle with more molasses and chocolate at the finish. Some dark fruit presence in the aftertaste. Full bodied with moderate to low carbonation. Smooth and slick on the palate and goes down warm and viscous with a long, lingering aftertaste.
These incendiary beers have been really on point. This one's no exception. Tons of barrel character enhance what's already an incredibly complex and delicious beer.

Appearance: Arrives pitch black with a collar; leggy with a shard and some speckles
Smell: Chocolate fudge with pronounced Rye tones; the almond is distinct with the vanilla and coconut emerging as it warms
Taste: Chocolate and Rye forward with the almond and vanilla developing; the coconut emerges, particularly as the beer warms; the Rye is pronounced in the finish
Mouthfeel: Thick body with low carbonation
Overall: The adjuncts work really well here and pair nicely with the Rye; an adult Almond Joy that is not overly sweet
