Appearance: Pours midnight brown with a vague tan film that quickly fades away; leggy but no lacing
Smell: Chocolate, black coffee and Rye waft
Taste: Rich chocolate and Rye flavors intermingle from the outset through the middle with the coffee making an appearance, after the swallow; the Rye builds, in the finish, to join with the coffee
Mouthfeel: Thick bodied with no carbonation
Overall: I may be a little nit-picky here - while there are many elements that I like about this beer I think the coffee and the Rye are not the best complement to one another
