Opaque dark brown body, tan head that settles into a cap. Aromas of big bourbon especially the weller, Belgian yeast, then minor date, prune and tobacco. Taste is also lead by the barrels, yeast is thinner here with bigger dark fruit especially date and prune than the nose, with mild leather, char and tobacco. Feel is lighter and thinner, with a boozy punch, very warm.

Appearance: Pours coffee colored with a quick fading beige film; the collar leaves speckles with each sip
Smell: The nose wallops with Weller and Buffalo Trace, overwhelming the Quad tones
Taste: As with the aroma, the Bourbon barrels are powerful here, dominating the flavor profile from start to finish; there is a hint of the spice cake Quad flavors underneath, but it is faint; the finish is boozy
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with low carbonation; warmth in the gullet
Overall: To my surprise, I preferred the adjunct version this year to the pure BBA version; the extra time in the barrel here will delight those who want to get a lot of Bourbon flavor but I think this is going to need to settle down for a year or two to reach the profile I prefer
