Aged a year. Dark mostly opaque brown body, oatmeal pinky finger of foam. Aromas of chocolate, caramel and plum submerged in bourbon barrels. Taste starts with barrels and toasted caramel, then plum, toffee and chocolate, then finished with charred earth and more bourbon. Feel is fuller and smooth, with warming barrels. One of the better ba new world quads

Appearance: Pours espresso colored with a thin head that fades to a collar; leggy but very little lacing
Smell: Fruit cake soaked in Bourbon
Taste: Fruit cake flavors of candied dark berries and walnuts joined by the caramel influence from the Bourbon barrels; strong Bourbon influence, that lingers into the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied with low carbonation; some warmth in the gullet
Overall: I was thinking the dual Bourbon barrel treatment here was going to be the best of the batch but, while this was good, it was not the standout I was expecting; also, with low carbonation, I prefer a fuller mouthfeel
