Look: It pours dark brown with a light brown head. It has low head retention.
Smell: It has strong malty aromas that feature toffee and nuts. There are some bourbon notes with hints of dark fruits in the background. It also has a brownie like quality to it as well.
Taste: The toffee is a bit more well defined in the flavor with bourbon in a close second and then the nutty notes. There are some cherry and dark fruit notes well into the background. It also has a brownie like character in the finish.
Feel: It has a full body close to the chewy side with a bitter finish and strong alcohol warming.
Overall, there are strong flavors that are complex with strong and pleasant alcohol warming.

Mostly opaque brown body with a beige head. Big bourbons in the nose with caramel, dark fruit, barley, molasses kissed earth and tobacco. In the taste the bourbons give almost like a maple impression with splintered oak, barley, and anise starring, vague earthiness in the background. Feel is dryer and thinner, but not a lot of weight to it, the barrels are limited in this regard, more wood than booze. Still, easily the best of the series so far
