Appearance: Pours espresso colored with a being film that fades to a ringlet and archipelago; leggy with spots trickling down
Smell: The Bourbon barrel tones join with chocolate, vaniila, cinnamon and a hint of coffee
Taste: The Bourbon blends well with the chocolate, vanilla and cinnamon from the outset, with a tingling heat from the hot pepper blend building; the Bourbon flavors continue to build, into the finish, as does the heat; not a lot of coffee in the flavor profile
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with low carbonation; warmth on the tongue and in the gullet
Overall: Excellent barrel aging here but the coffee flavor is not as prominent as I would have expected
