Appearance: Pours espresso colored with a quick fading tan film; somewhat leggy with microscopic dots dribbling
Smell: Chocolate, coffee, vanilla and sponge cake with Bourbon tones enveloping
Taste: The Bourbon barrels are apparent, from the get-go, but never overwhelm the chocolate, vanilla, sponge cake and coffee flavors that are also in the mix; the flavors assert themselves at different points but the Tiramisu is there, in the finish
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with low carbonation; some warmth in the finish
Overall: Incendiary has done an excellent job with this pastry stout; they really capture the essence of Tiramisu while selecting some very high quality Bourbon barrels to add complexity
