Brown hints to the black opaque body, brown cap settles into a collar. Smell has the rye front and center, joined by big molasses, dark bitter chocolate, and medium toned oak barrel, with charred earth, malts and booze supporting. Taste has bourbon, rye, molasses, caramel, and dark bitter chocolate right away though the rye that provides the most lasting impact on the palate, with barrel tannins, singed raisin, and earth quietly in the background. Feel is warm and barrel driven, the booziness is kept in check, heavy but not overly thick, smooth with plenty of rye texture
