A true Lager Marzen made in a small 5 BBl batch/
Great deep amber color with a sparse head of white foam and little retention.
Too cold at first from the brewery tap, it warmed to a rich malt nose if not with distinctly Munich/ Vienna malt character.
The flavor is boldly malty and full of mildly roasted grain flavors. Hop bite follows perfectly behind the malt depth providing balance and character.
A sold Oktoberfest quaffer.
