This beer pours a darkbrown color with a head that settles in after a couple of minutes.
Smell is malty and roasted, with some bready and popcorn smells.
Taste is slightly roasted and burned, with a little bitter, together with the malt bitterness quite nice, although it is a bit on the sharp side. This beer is not as sticky as a lot of the other Dutch bockbeers, but it is still sticky on the lips. There is a little too much carbonation in it.
One of the better Dutch bockbeers this year (2006).
