500ml can purchased at an Albert Heijn supermarket in Rotterdam. Note that Bavaria is the parent company of La Trappe/Koningshoeven, for whatever that's worth.

Bottle bearing the simple markings of 'Anno 1628 Pilsener' and it seems another InBev situation at hand from the local market. Pours clear and on the deep side of straw, perhaps lightly golden. A frothy half inch of foam offers average retention.
Nose of light noble hops and some neutral grain. Clean and light, touch of lemon and with only light depth.
Flavor is smooth and easy, again showing some lemon hop notes and a simple pils character. Stands up to warming fairly well though a bit lacking as for defining characteristics.
Moderate feel, easy and unobtrusive. Overall hardly memorable yet an inexpensive and quite acceptable quaff.

A bottle of 300 ml, the standard small bottle of the Netherlands, poured into a Heineken glass.
Deep golden colour on the appearance, with a rich white head. Some bubbles rising to the top to feed the head while others are stuck on my glass's walls. Head after a while loses 3/4 of its size but stills is more than enough to cover the beers's surface, whilst leaving light lacing on the glass.3,5
Not much on the aroma front, some malts and some a smell of old bread, not unpleasant though. Preety typical aroma I would say. 3
On the taste is quite neutral, very difficult to distinguish something. Maybe some light bitterness, mostly notable on the aftertaste. 2.5
Light on the body and medium to light carbonation, leaves your palate dry. 3
Not a bad beer with this hot weather, served ice cold and for 34 cents is one of the better options out there that follows the triptych of thirst quencher-good quality-low price.
