Nitro-draft pour into a nonic at Beachwood BBQ.

A: Clear, light amber color with two fingers of super-dense white foam head that demonstrates a stubborn persistence. Lacing is heavy on the glass.

S: Weak hay and plaster.

T: Begins dry with a mineral bite. Faint lime emerges alongside equally subtle dark earthiness. At first taste this beer does not seem bitter, but it builds to a mild and pleasant sensation over time.

M: Thin viscosity and low carbonation make this beer appropriately quaffable.

D: This beer performs exactly as expected, delivering an interesting but eminently consumable ale that would likely be enhanced even further by cask conditioning and service. Although similar in spirit, this beer arrives just in time to provide an interesting counterpoint in sensory qualities to Stone's collaborative San Diego session ale.

On nitro-tap at Beachwood BBQ,

A: Pours a light amber with a thick two finger nitro head with a lot of lace.

S: Light English malt with some hint of hops, muted as DoubleJ said on nitro.

T: Has a good bready malt flavour with some cracked grain. Some grassy hops in the finish.

M: Very smooth, light-bodied, creamy, easy on the palate.

D: A solid bitter, I'd much rather have it served on cask, maybe some more complexities would come out, but I have to take what comes to me. Nice session pint, and a rare beer under 4%.

On-nitro at Beachwood BBQ and served in an imperial pint glass. On to the beer:

Theree's one thing I like about nitro beers, they create a huge, creamy, long-lasting head when poured properly, and that's what I get. Amber orange colored with all that creamy head and creamy lace sticking to the glass. But there's also one thing I don't like about nitro beers, the aroma gets muted. Light citrusy hops in the nose, not a whole lot else. Pleasing enough.

On the lighter tasting side of things, but having some flavor without any rough grainy flavors helps this beer a lot. A little sweet citrus runs around, hints of pineapple, a little amount of biscuit malt, all of which grows more intense as the beer warms up. Appealing and very smooth in the mouth, and creamy.

It may not be the most optimal way to serve a bitter, but even of nitro, Goldfinger delievers.

This is an English bitter served on nitro tap. They describe it as being rather like Tetley's or Boddington's and it really is spot on for the goal.

It's dark gold with a small-medium, but very creamy, long-lasintg off-white head slowly shrinking to a thin, creamy top, and leaving the foamy lace that nitro taps can produce.

The aroma is mild grain, leaves, with grass, faintly toasty.

The taste uis similar, mild, but solid and consistent, good, lightly toasty grain with just a hint of caramelliness, plenty of leafiness, a long, grain aftertaste. It has faint sweetness and only very faint bitterness, a nice, smooth, yet full feel, and light, easy drinking character.
