This came from a hand pumped cask under the counter. Everything is the same as the regular version but it smells stronger and of oak. And the flavor is a bit oakier but overall milder.
The beer pours a transparent dark brown color, would almost guess its filtered but who knows. No head or lacing. More carbonation than I'm used to for a cask ale.
The smell is strong of brown ale and a little fresh oak spiciness. Has some crystal malts and even a little roasted smell. The flavor is weaker than the regular version but it has a nice oak quality to it. Very smooth and refreshing but nothing special.
Was served fairly warm even for a cask beer, seemed room temp.
