330ml bottle:
A sort of mahogany to murky brown with some sediment through the body & a 1cm, foamy tan to golden head with a few bubbles through it - surprisingly light for a stout though. Chocolate malts & a caramel sweetness dominate the nose, some sugars & roasted malts feature with a subtle earthy bitterness; a faint hint of alcohol sneaks on at the end too. Definitely more of a strong brown ale/wee heavy type beer with some chocolate malts to start but it's quite boozy with some dried, darker fruits & sugars followed by quite a smokey, almost rauchbier flavour of ham & wood further on. It's strongly carbonated with a medium body but not quite sure why it's labelled as a stout though.
