This beer hit many positive notes for me. First, I love that this brewery has a black IPA as one of its primary beers - nice story about it too! Second it has a nice slightly sour backdrop which I love in a dark beer.
I had this beer at the brewery poured into a shaker pint. Dark brown color with great head and curtain lacing. Smell and taste of slightly sour dark berries. Flavors of dark roasted malt. Some hoppy citrus as well, but the beer is made interesting by its slightly sour character. Definitely want to have again.
