Poured from 12 oz bottle into pint glass in Santiago.
A: Pours a clear reddish amber hue with half inch light tan head that quickly recedes. Looks more like an amber ale.
S: Caramel malt mostly. Again, not a pale ale.
T: Caramel malt.
M: Light body. Sweet caramel malt.
D: Not bad for a beer from Punta Arenas I suppose.

Amber copper color with a thin head with short retention.
Aroma with notes of caramel and grainy malts, herbal hops and nuts.
Flavor with notes of caramel and toasted malts, grains, herbal hops and nuts. Dry aftertaste with a mild bitterness.
Light to medium body with appropriate carbonation.
Decent nutty and caramelly Pale Ale with the traditional Chilean taste; sweet malts showing up after it warmed up, but not overly so. I still prefer Torobayo over this.

L: Pours a light golden-hazel color with 2 fingers of off-white head.
S: Malts and grains.
T/F: Malty and slightly sweet. Very mild hops at the finish. Good carbonation and surprisingly smooth.
O: Not the best pale ale I've ever had, but very drinkable and in Patagonia that counts for a lot. One of Austral's better offerings.
