Tucked away a few blocks away from the big cruise boats and the shops, this is a small tap room adjoining the brewing equipment that you can see. Cool (but smallish) wood table in the middle, and then some side tables to stand at. Not big enough or thoughtfully arranged to really feel like a place to hang out, but with door open and the August sun shining outside, it still had a friendly vibe.

I think this may have been the first brewery tap room I’ve ever been to that didn’t have a pale or India pale ale on. I love them, but I hate how they over-saturates the market and I love lots of other styles too, so, points to Bawden Street for that. They had 2 different saisons, a cream ale, a sour, a Berliner,a wit, and a gose. I had one of the saisons and thought it was not bad. My dad had the cream ale and really liked it.

Small stand up tasting room at the brewery - would not find it without researching directions.
Other folks from cruise ship there, so folks becoming aware of breweries existance.
Took home a crowler of Prince of Wales Imperial Porter - 8% and 51 IBU.
We liked it a lot

Cool spot in Ketchikan, Alaska. Located on Bawden Street, this is a small cozy taproom with a beautiful table as the centerpiece- it is a ship rudder with a beautiful wooden table top surface. It's a small space, with the rest of the building being used as the brewery- expansive windows allow you to see the brewer at work. It's a small operation, befitting the size of the town. They let you try samplers so you can choose what to order a pint of; at the time of review they carried two saisons and one IPA. It's not a huge selection. They have a crowler machine as well, so people can take beers home with them if they like. You are also able to buy shirts and glassware to take home as well. It's a good spot to have a beer once you've finished whatever excursion or cruise ship activity that brings you to town, and better than drinking the usual at a touristy bar.
