Copenhagen 14/4 2018. 33 cl bottle from Vinbørsen, Nordre Frihanvsgade, Kbh. Ø. Little chubby bottle with stylized drawing of the Brewery on the label. Quite simple and quite elegant.
Pours hazy, golden yellow with a humongous yellowish head. Settles as a 2 cm thick blanket of foam. Massive lacing.
Aroma is dampened by the foam and not particularly intense. Sourish citrus, slightly acidic, metallic alcohol and sharp sourish grainy odor.
Medium strong carbonation and slightly thick texture.
Flavor is quite sweet followed by weaker but notable bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter sweet with a solid alcoholic burn. Lingering.
Not up to the standard for a Belgian Tripel. But decent, well balanced, boozy French Beer.

Poured from a bottle at a restaurant in Montpellier. Pours murky amber with off-white head. Good retention. Nose is peach, wheat, orange, and toffee. Taste is candy, wheat, orange leather, apricot and pineapple. Overall a good tripel.
