Nitro pour at the brewpub, in nonic imperial pint glass
very dark brown in color, but not quite pitch black, with tan colored head. good head retention and lacing. mild dry roasty aroma and flavor, bitter cocoa. medium bodied.

Impressive lasting beige head. It sticks around for the entire tasting. Oddly, there's no lacing initially, but there's a wonderful blanket formed at the bottom of the glass.
Beyond the traditional darker malt smells, I pick up on smoke.
Dry with bitter Baker's chocolate flavors. Smooth but thin bodied, muted carbonation, too. The aftertaste is more, but sweeter, chocolate.
