Mr. Skov's Høfde 11 is brewed with wild Danish black dunlin rose hips. This brew is in the style of a wheat beer (weiss bier), which is wonderfully fresh and crisp. Unfiltered.
Goes well with pure enjoyment or various dishes, especially fish and shellfish.

Copenhagen 28/3 2024. 50 cl bottle from Vinspecialisten, Søndergade, Herning. Beige version of the usual brand-design for Hr. Skov with the crooked tree bearing a single apple.
Pours slightly unclear yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as 0,4 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet malty and fruity odor mingling with a distinct scent of citrus. Orange lemonade and a whiff of white sugar. Citrus from a dispenser.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oil, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a tart streak. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Sweetish and without much spice.
