Another unique beer from Mr. Skov.
This golden ale is brewed from the golden sea buckthorn, which grows wild on the west coast of Jutland. Great for a good Danish lunch.

Copenhagen 22/3 2024. 50 cl bottle from Vinspecialisten, Søndergade, Herning. The usual Hr. Skov brand design with the crooked tree with a single red apple. This time on a orange background.
Pours opaque unclear amber with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, fruity odor mingling with a sourish, rough scent of herbs. Caramel and bread. Buckthorn, citrus and white sugar.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, a bit greasy, almost texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a rough twist. Sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
A bit too herbal for my tastebuds.
