Formerly Bosque IPA
Few things are as uniquely New Mexico as our world-class IPAs. Riverwalker IPA starts with a light copper base of pale, caramel, and wheat malts, providing a medium-bodied backbone for our flagship IPA. But that’s just setting the stage for the hops where myriad aromatics and flavors are coaxed out of a blend of our favorite hop varieties.

On draft at their brewery. Copper color, very clear. Solid hop aroma, though I can't identify which (allergies kicking in in NM). Taste starts with good bitterness and a very resinous hop flavor... not my fave hop varieties but it's well crafted. Big body. Good second beer to savor.

Transparent but slightly hazy copper. Good solid white head with retention and lacing.
Smells sweet, slightly soapy, ripe fruit-forward; mango, papaya, grapefruit, orange.
Sweet orange and papaya, mango and grapefruit dominate. Sweet, slightly caramel malt. A bit florally soapy. Earthy. Nice bitterness. Grapefruit/orange peel lingers.

Pours a beautiful gold with a thick head. Piney hops jump right out of the can, but don't seem to linger. The balanced bitterness feels great and reminds the whole mouth what this beer's all about. Solid.

Chill hazed amber ale with a small white colored head. This does have an orange tint so it qualifies as IPA Orange.
Smells hoppy as expected with lots of tropical fruit scents. Scent of passion fruit and pineapple. Smells slightly woody.
Starts out mildly sweet with a distinct honeydew melon flavor. Taste is best described as "Woody Melon." Mild bitterness but you notice it.
Mouthfeel is a little better than average.
Overall not a bad IPA. On the mild side nearing Pale Ale territory.

Enjoyed a large serving while dining at Chili's Grill & Bar 10-24-20 with my mother in law and Da Boss in Carlsbad, New Mexico. It was a nice west coast ipa which the lighter malt profile allowed the alpha hopping to shine thru.

12oz can poured into Duvel tulip. 3/27/2019 printed on the bottom of the can so presumably that's the born on date and this is still pretty fresh.
Appearance - Moderately hazy gold body with slight carbonation. No visible particulates. Has a 3 finger offwhite head with good lacing and stick and moderate retention. 3.75
Smell - Equally grassy and floral. Smooth. 4
Taste - Grass. The alcohol is very present. Has enough kick for an IPA lover without going overboard. Maybe something good for newbies. 3.75
Mouthfeel - Astringent. A slight bit on the watery side. 3.5
Overall - A little light for an IPA, with understated features across the board, but at least it's smooth too. Very drinkable. 3.5
