Good coloring with decent head and lacing seem to be better than the light caramel malts aroma and taste. Although the taste is much better than the nitro version, here at least I can taste the burnt aspects of the malts which I liked, it gives this beer a bit of need character. Personally I think I'll stick to their hoppier ales.

On tap at the brewery on 3/29/2015. Tasting notes are as follows: pours a darker-medium brown body, half finger white head, nice lacing. Smells of sweet toffee, fairly nutty and a bit earthy. Tastes a bit thin, mostly toffee and toasted biscuit, a bit of nuttiness and a slight booziness on the finish. Overall a solid, unspectacular brown that is about average and meets the standard for a brown ale.
