There's a small window of time each year when fresh, whole cone hopes are available and elated brewers produce some of the finest one-off libations. Fresh Chinook and Cascade hopes inundate your palate and nose with spicy, earthy and citrus notes washing over a mildly complex, medium bodied malt foundation.

Golden orange in color. A touch hazy. Floral, malty and bitter. Chocolate notes and pine bitterness. Pineapple and grapefruit pith. Citrus. Dank. Resinous. Pretty good.

From a bomber to a Samuel Smith pint glass in my backyard. A rich intense copper colored beer sits below a very slowly dying head that started out about one inch high and now sits at about an half inch of off white froth. Old school west coast style IPA aroma pulls be back in time to when and why I fell in love with American west coast IPA's.
Pretty good tasting beer but just falls a bit short of the aroma and some of the IPA's I've tried from the states bordering the Pacific Ocean. A solid aroma of citrus and fresh pine with maybe a grassy hint that seems to come through more in the taste. Love the fact that it's not over kill, I have seemed to have tired of those IPA's lately.
$10 for the bomber at the Bosque tap room was worth every penny.
Anyway, for those of you that enjoy the American west coast IPA style put this on your short list.

Bomber. Pours bright orange very slight haze, thin head fades quickly. Mild aroma, citrus peel and leaves. Super fresh taste, piney grassy hops, a little grapefruit peel and a woodsy finish. Nice level of sweetness, well balanced. Dry finish with a resiny bitterness and tad of booziness. that lasts. Mouthfeel is thin to medium, slippery. This was a flavorful friggin delish wet hopped IPA.

L - light amber. darker than expected. earthy. filtered clear and transparent
S - wow, lots of fruit forward aroma crashes into your nose, awesome smell, I could sit here smelling this all day. plenty of resin but plenty more fruit...watermelon(?) just great.
T - Sticky icky resin. maybe wood tones, its still fruity but not quite as much as the nose. medium body, plenty of malts that work well with the hops because its super rich with flavor and smooth.
F - smooth, ripe, thick, very nice
O - another gem from Bosque, this is definitely the next big thing in town. Great beers seem to come out of this place way too often to be ignored!
