Bomber from 4/26 poured into an oversized tulip.
Pours black, stays black. Oatmeal colored head is yuuuge and has more lace than a bordello. 5
Smells phenomenal even with a month + on it. Is this melon? Mango overripened? Both? Funky and earthy on top of all that. Piney, resinous, citric too. This hop or hops has layers to it. Juicy as hell. Oh yeah, there's a bit of roasty malt in there, but honestly, I shut my eyes and this is all IPA. 4.5
It's got a lot of sweetness and the malt will show, but what roast and chocolatey notes I'm getting are pretty tame. Vanilla abounds too. Then the hops come in like Yip Man, Jackie Chan and Ong Bak formed into a Voltron. These hops bug me out. Melon, white wine grapes, kiwi, hints of orange juice, pine, hop resin, herbal tea... It just keeps going. Tons of depth. I love it. 4.5
The feel took some adjusting to. I found it too sweet initially and then felt like the bitterness was overwhelming. More drinking and either I adjusted to it or some warmth subsided things. Besides that, it's pretty damn juicy and feels much lighter than the ABV or color set me up for. I could drink two bombers in a flash. 4.
Just for fun, eh? Meaning y'all were just fucking around and you still produced this gem.
