I had an 8 ounce pour last night and I absolutely love this beer. The color is a bit darker than you might expect from a traditional brown ale, but still very satisfying with little to no foam. The smell offers just enough spice odor to be interesting... not at all overpowering. The taste is quite complex. There is a definite malt flavor with just a bit of spiciness initially, but just wait for it. After about a minute the flavor had changed for merely warm to hot, hot, hot. Overall, I find this beer very drinkable and it offers a break from the boredom of other predictable brews.
