Pint pour at the brewery.
Copper liquid with a frothy and rich white head. Surging carbonation. 5
Equinox bringing that melon and mango mix. Dayum. Bubblegum and floral-ness. Reminds me of all I like in Mosaic hops. Only complaint is I want more of the aroma I'm getting. Gimme some mo. 4.25
Flavor is killer. Bananas. Actually, not bananas, but heavy on the melon, tart, unripened mango or papaya and a resinous, earthy quality. The finish hints at some orange sweetness and tang. As I drink away, a biscuity malt flavor sneaks into the finish in a delicate and welcome way. So much going on here. Equinox, I'm feeling you, girl. 4.5
This beer pops up at a perfect time. I'm fatigued by all the BA beers, imperial stouts and barleywines I've drank all winter and this beer offers the light drinkability I'm craving. There's body there, but it doesn't feel heavy and the citrusy, zesty qualities make this refreshing. Meanwhile, the bitter middle that leads to a dry finish will satisfy the hopheads plenty. 4.75
This is a gem. I'm sad to think this will soon disappear from the menu but I'll fill a few growlers to be safe in that regard. Beyond that, the knowledge that some other SMASH beer will follow makes me feel giggity.
