Clear amber brew with plent of foam in the Hopleaf goblet. Sudsy mouthfeel is pleasant. Brewed with Cascade hops. Not actually very hoppy, though. This is an interesting malt-forward brew that would maybe pass for some kind of English pale ale. It has that nutty taste I associate with their beers. Warm and caramel tasting with a modest edge of something herbal.
A faint bitter aftertaste. Quite drinkable if somehow brewed to different expectations. From the 16.9 oz crowler can filled at the brewery tap.
