Clear very dark brown brew with adequate foam in the Hopleaf goblet. Quite malty and on the sweeter side. Nose of cocoa and fruitcake. Dark caramel, roasted grain, and a hint of fruit. Pleasant substantial body with just enough carbonation on the tongue.
A big dose of roasted grain and burnt sugar. But all quite mellow. Very flavorful. Overall this is quite drinkable, but it's on the strong side. From the 16.9 oz crowler can filled at the brewpub.
