A- pours black in color with a one finger foamy khaki head that reduces to a ring
S- smells of fresh roasted coffee, charred malt, chocolate, cocoa nibs and a hint of vanilla
T- fresh roasted coffee and bitter chocolate up front, with some charred malt undertones. Mid palate gives some vanilla and black licorice. the finish is dry with bitter chocolate and coffee
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that turns slightly creamy into the finish

On tap at the brewpub (Southern Craft BBQ). 5.8% ABV.
Clear but very dark brown body with a very good tan head.
This has a really fine coffee aroma. The flavor does not disappoint even with the high expectations stemming from the aroma. Near perfect level of (mild) bitterness.
Medium body and carbonation.
Overall: excellent!

This is the best Porter I have tasted in northeast Tennessee and western North Carolina. Too many southern Porters are thin with no mouth. This Porter stands out as wonderfully different with both body and mouth without feeling heavy.
