Lycanthropy # 3 (2022 vintage) is a blend of various golden ales, which have spent 12-22 months aging to perfection in red wine barrels with our signature culture of wild yeasts and lactobacillus. After packaging, the beer has been cellared for a further 8 months to give it adequate time to rest and settle. The end result is a lush, tart, and extremely tannic wild ale that will appeal to both wine and beer drinkers alike!

Copenhagen 5/4 v2024. 75 cl bottle from Beer Me web-shop. White wrap around label with a rabid werewolf glaring at me.
Pours unclear golden yellow with a small white head. Bubbly. Disappears fairly fast leaving only a very thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a frail, fruity sweet odor soon overpowered by a strong sour scent. Sweet grapes. Sour, unripe gooseberries. Touch of citrus. Vinegar.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, greasy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense if somehow short lived. A light sweetness followed by a strong tart sourness. Aftertaste is sour and a bit acerbic. Longers shortly Finish is austere and dry.
Vinous, tart and dry.
