Vermin is a blend of golden ales, respectively matured for 12 months in port wine barrels and 18 months in red wine barrels, with our signature blend of wild yeast and souring agents.
This rich, red nectar has been further conditioned on locally sourced Zilga grapes, to add a further tannic, wine-like complexity to the overall flavor profile.
Vermin bites with a sour edge, but is rounded out by the barrel-aging and fresh grapes, providing a moderately dry and effervescent body that showcases notes of berries, cherries, grape tannins, and subtle hints of caramel across the palate.

Copenhagen 19/5 2024. 75 cl chubby bottle from Beer Me web-shop. Drawing of a rabid rodent inside a wine barrel.
Pours opaque murky reddish brown with a small white head. Bubbly. Disappears after a few seconds leaving murky compound behind. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet vinous odor of grapes and tart berries. Red wine sweet liqueur mingling with tart gooseberries. Light touch of vinegar.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger tart sourness. Aftertaste is sour and a bit acerbic. Lingers for a bit. Finish is dry.
Tart with a touch of sweeter darker wine.
