With the rise of craft beer in America, Nashville restaurateurs, songwriters and venue owners who knew each other for a long time were looking for a local beer that was both drinkable and embodied the spirit of Music City. While many breweries were opening up, they all seemed to focus on unique flavors and new twists on existing beer. We were looking for a beer that was BOTH drinkable AND tasted like beer. You know - beer that could be brought on tour with us, sold at our outdoor events, brought on stage during shows, and proudly displayed behind our bars and in our establishments. So we recruited a Gold Medal winning brewer to help us develop the world's greatest tasting light beer, Music City Light!

DATE: August 15, 2025... OCCASION: prep work for priming and painting the garage complete, the summer's end tradition continues with the boys: The Fellowship of the Ring begins anew... GLASSWARE: Hennepin pokal... a light, sallow yellow surrounds a tornado of bubbles that breaches as a filmy, misty, even off-white head... corn, biscuit, adjunct, honey, hay, and lemon-- a pleasant, lightly affecting affair... its mouthfeel is equally agreeable--bubbly, watery but not thin, refreshing, and balanced, as it moves well from teeth to tongue to throat... its effervescent end likewise is pleasing... taste is not its strongest attribute, with a corn, biscuit, lemon, and grain aligning with expectation but not developing a profile worth seeking out again...that is, unless I am back in Tennessee and planning an all-day drinking event...

Pours a clear straw color with a fluffy white head that lingers and provides moderate lacing. Looks very nice in the glass.
The nose has a significant amount of cereal grains and some grass, which works as an AAL, and so does the crisp mouthfeel. I wouldn’t stand in a line to buy this, but I also wouldn’t turn it down in a pinch.

A: Pours a crystal clear very pale yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate straw yellow + faint pale golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall fizzy foamy bright white head that quickly reduces to a large patch of very thin film covering a little more than 75% of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Light to moderate aromas of grainy + bready malts with a minimal amount of grainy sweetness. Hints of grassy hops. Light aromas of lager yeast.
T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of grainy + bready malts with a minimal amount of grainy sweetness. That is followed by light aromas of lager yeast. Finally there are hints of grassy hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which fades away quickly leaving a clean finish.
M: Light bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp with a clean finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a lighter crisp + clean mouthfeel. Enjoyable with very light flavors and aromas - could pair with just about anything food wise.

I'm trying this beer at Peg Leg Porker in the Gulch....it poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent is faint grain. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink....standard light lager type. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it an ok beer.
