Crisp, clean and bright - Kölsch is a hybrid brew in that it’s fermented at ale temperatures and then lagered (stored cold like a lager) for an extended period of time resulting in a crystal clear, beautifully colored beer. Our Kölsch is brewed with Hallertauer German hops which date back more than 100 years and present with a flowery and spicy aroma. Originally brewed in Köln, Germany, the term Kölsch is a protected name within the European Union and can only be used to describe a beer brewed within 50km of the city and one that is true to its original style.
