It looks like eggnog and feels like baby food....this is the height of Florida absurdity, and how the fuck do you rate that?!

Honestly, though, it does achieve what it goes for: pureed pumpkin pie with a shot of bourbon on the side, but it's just psychotic. What part of this was aged in barrels? Surely the goopy mess of spiced gourd paste wasn't...was it?!

I gave this a 4.25 on UT, but with the dings on appearance and feel (I mean, really, what else do you expect of me?), it brings it down much further here, though justifiably so.

If pumpkin pie and eggnog had a baby, then this is what it would be.

Corporate Ladder's Bourbon Barrel Aged Pumpkin Pie a la Mode version of Dessert Station then pours like the later with a milky banana-yellow tone. Absolutely opaque, the beer's cake batter appearance sets just under a slightly less deep tone of creamy froth. Pumpkin pie and ice cream perfumes radiate on the nose in tried-and-true dessert form. Similarly, the flavors of pumpkin pie milkshake allow for heavy cream, caramel, honey and marshmallow to slather the early palate.

Much of the same continues on the middle palate as the same simple sweetness coats the tastebuds in cereal-sweet, cloying and achingly sweet form. Milkshake flavors share pumpkin, butternut squash and yam flavors with the warm spices of nutmeg, clove, ginger and cinnamon for a hint of french toast. All wrapped in french vanilla flavors and a diabetic shock in unavoidable.

Full, dense and cloying from start to finish, the concoction is tasty as an alcoholic milkshake but difficult to stomach as anything beer or ale related. A long and sweet finishes leaves warming spices in its wake as its is about as refreshing as biscuits and gravy.
