Taking a much needed break from their smoothie, gluten-free, heavy fruity ways and getting back to beer, you could say that Corporate Ladder brewers are getting their ducks in a row.
Juicy, citrusy, tropical and herbal to the nose, the matte golden Ducks In A Row swoons the senses with a radiant fruit bouquet that hovers over its creamy ivory froth. Malty sweetness brings a first sip of cereal, honey and cream in a soothing grain character to start the session.
The boldness of hops carry the radaince of the nose onto the middle palate with all those juicy flavors of orange, mild grapefruit and lime. Not to be outdone, a more tropical flavor of mango, papaya, passionfruit, pineapple and pawpaw carry and creamy fruitiness with a racy zing. Additional flavors of apricot and peach trail into an herbal late taste of sun tea, verbena, hemp and gin-like botanicals to close the session with a softer sense of balance.
Full, creamy and plush on the palate, the smooth hazy IPA finishes off-balanced toward the creamy malts and away from much bitterness at all. A medium length aftertaste carries the creamy fruit flavors into a cocktail-like smoothie session.
