Had this on tap at Beer revolution. My favourite of many beers sampled that night. A nice dark ale, not much head but a very pleasant, aromatic, malty flavour. Easy mouth feel and very drinkable. More interesting/complex flavour profile than most amber ales. Definitely one to try!

8oz glass at Beer Revolution YEG Oliver Square. An abbey-style ale, made in rural SW Alberta. Mind suitably blown.
This beer appears a clear, medium reddish brown colour, with one finger of wispy and bubbly beige head, which leaves some decent headland profile lace around the glass as things slowly sink away.
It smells of bready and doughy cereal malt, some muddled cinnamon and nutmeg spiciness, faint estery yeast, some dark orchard fruitiness, and ethereal earthy, musty, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy caramel malt, indistinct earthy spice, bruised apples and pears, dead yeast cells, and more understated herbal, leafy, and floral noble hoppiness.
The carbonation is adequate in its structurally supportive frothiness, the body a so-so middleweight, and generally smooth, with nothing really getting in the way of a good time here. It finishes off-dry, the malt and frooty essences predominating.
Overall - this comes across as a pleasantly rendered version of the style, nice and balanced. Easy enough to put back, especially given that the extra 2 points of ABC are expertly integrated. Worth checking out.

Tasted on-tap, and later purchased a large (750ml) bottle.
Sweet caramel notes, deep amber color, decent head that settles down quickly.
At 15 IBUs this won't appeal to the hopheads in the crowd, but it's a really nice complement to food-- especially steaks or burgers.
EDIT: January 2019
They've brewed a limited-edition version of this that was aged in Rye Whisky barrels, and O-M-G is it good!!
Sadly, you'll have to get to the brewery itself to get some, and they may be sold out by now. I've got three bottles of it left, so you all can be very jealous of me.
