Ferment Helles is made from four simple ingredients: water from a spring at the base of Mount Hood, German Pilsner malt, Tettnanger noble hops, and a time-honored European lager yeast strain. Zum Wohl!

Beautiful, clear yellow body; dense, slow-rising carbonation; big, thick head, frothy and sticky. Fantastic light malt aroma infused with a mineral / herbal note; biscuit. The flavor follows along the lines of the aroma; biscuit and bread crust; light mineral taste; light hop bitterness. Medium-light body; crisp; mellow creaminess; mild warmth.
This gorgeous beer is well-balanced and nuanced, easy drinking and wonderfully delicious.

Perfectly clear pale (very pale, and very thin/clear) golden body with about a finger of wet bubbles for a head that pop as soon as they reach the top of their pile. Good lacing.
Nose is classic lager: clean grains with earthy old world hops.
Flavour is again clean: biscuity/bready malts give it a sweet undertone to balance the earthy german hops.
Crisp clean dry finish that is drinkable and leaves a lingering hop flavour that doesn't overwhelm.
This is a masterful rendition of the style. Just very very well executed. It pushes the trouble I always have of rating to personal preference vs rating to style. I think this is an impressively well constructed helles lager, but that's a style that I like more than I love, so here we are.
Cheers!

Clear pale golden brew with plenty of white foam in the Belle-Vue Gueuze glass. Light and just spritzy enough. Clean and tangy with light flavors of cereal and green herbs. The hops are restrained but fragrant with a resiny hint. All quite delicate but satisfying. This is hard to beat. It's like the ideal Pilsner in the more elegant style. What a Lager can be. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Canned on 07/13/2022.

16oz can (Of course. Dated 5/29/2020) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a bright, clean, clear straw-gold color with an inch of white head that had good retention and light-moderate lacing.
The aroma was as expected; solid base grain, some floral hops, and no appreciable yeast. Same on the tongue, all the expected notes.
The body was light and crisp, with a semi-dry finish. Drinkability was fine, you could easily drain a few of these. Overall, a solid take on the style. Worth a shot if you see it.

Growler from New Seasons.
A crystal clear light yellow with a large, white head with excellent retention and lacing this looks excellent. The nose is still excellent. Clean, doughy, mildly hoppy lending a brilliant snap, this is effortless, clean, simple yet deep. Layers of dough, light honey, delicate lemony hops are present. Even more so on the palate. Opening clean, snappy, delicately hoppy, this is clean, bright and snappy. Excellent. Soft, doughy malt with the light airiness of fresh cotton candy, before a mildly mineral and snappy crispness takes over. Lightly sweet on the finish with honey and a lingering lemony bitterness, this is excellent.

a resplendent helles, as good an example of the style made on american soil that i can recall having in a very long time, if not ever, and frankly i was just as keen on all the beer in here, really solid stuff across the board! this is light golden and very lively from the tap, just short of immaculately clear, delicate looking, with a couple of inches of airy white head on it, really pretty brew. aroma and flavor are classically german, but also incredibly fresh to me, noble hops pop in here, perhaps a little hoppier than is customary overseas, but its not out of place or overdone here, just a little more forward in the aroma and flavor. lots of minerals, quite obvious that careful attention was paid to the water profile here, and it very much pays off. the fermentation is clean, this is snappy dry, and the yeast flavor is also fresh, which is not a usual descriptor for me with lagers, but its so bright and active to me in this, a little bit of a proofing dough vibe, still german, but newer somehow. i love the grassiness of the hops and the bitter pop they provide at the end, and i like the lightly metallic mineral wash that comes through, its fast finishing but with a lot of character. excellent balance and a lot of flavor, elegant in its simplicity and assuredly made by a professional brewer. i could drink a dozen of these!
