Ferment Pale Ale is inspired by the brewing traditions of Burton-on-Trent at the turn of the 19th century. Heirloom malted barley and hop varieties come together with a specially sourced English ale yeast to produce a result that is crisp and refreshing, featuring a complex depth of character with notes of tea, marmalade, and a hint of rose.

Bottle from the Bobolink. Copper colored pour, fizzy, foamy off-white head. Aroma is musty caramel malts, light leather. Taste is malty, caramel, dry. Simple pale ale done very well.

Handsome dark amber brew with plenty of foam in the Stella Artois goblet. Malty aroma with straw and bread. Warm tones with roasted barley and a slight malty sweetness. Plenty of body and a lush carbonation. Nutty and grainy in a nice way. Fairly bitter aftertaste.
I"m not sure this has too much in common with an actual British Pale Ale, but it's a highly quaffable brew. Flavorful and interesting in a moderate-alcohol package. Did I mention the hint of fruitcake? From the 500 ml bottle purchased at the brewery restaurant.

Poured from 500mL bottle into a tulip; no packaging date on the bottle.
Appearance: rich orange hue with just a tiny touch of haze and a mild effervescence; a finger of frothy ivory foam sits atop. I think it looks quite nice!
Smell: light aroma of sweet malt with a light nuttiness and a dash of biscuitiness. There may be some earthy hops in here as well, but the story is really about the malt. Definitely in line with English pale ales.
Taste: lightly sweet and nicely malty with a good level of toffee and caramel character. Again, hops are earthy and mild, with just a dash of bitterness. You know, it might not be entirely my jam, but this is a damn well-executed example of the style.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a great big carbonation and a great creaminess; I think the carbonation even helps bring out the better pale ale qualities. Wonderful!
Overall: like I said, although this is not my favorite style, this is a damn good example of it. Great job!
