Ferment Dry Stout embodies the spirit of the extremely quaffable, midnight-black ales of Dublin. A pale mash and unique black sparge technique imparts a gentle acidity to the beer along with a clean, delicate roast character in this surprisingly refreshing dark ale.

Not a super strong tasting beer. Probably wouldn’t buy again.

Dark but clear reddish brown brew with ample foam in the Stella goblet. Very light body and spritzy. Taste is highly roasted grain. Yes, it's dry, but not totally. Slight beer aroma.
Pleasant light brew that reminds me of a Schwarzbier. From the 500 ml bottle purchased at Elizabeth Station.

Poured from 500mL bottle into a tulip.
Appearance: rich, very dark brown hue that does let a little light through. The head is a thick finger of frothy tan foam with good retention. I like it, although I'm used to stouts such as this being a bit darker in color.
Smell: nutty, toasty and a little roasty; overall it's quite dry. It's subtle and balanced; good for the style.
Taste: the smooth roast comes through in the flavor moreso than in the aroma, and the nuttiness and toastiness remain. There's a bit of a bracing bitterness here, too, which emphasizes the dryness -- I dig it.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a big, well-integrated carbonation and a huge creaminess. It's low ABV and not sweet at all, and yet it manages this amazing creaminess. Wonderful.
Overall: this is a darn solid beer, and I could see myself drinking a lot of it. It leans a bit toward the brown ale side of the spectrum, but for me this is no bad thing.
