A Northwest rendition of an ancient European tradition, Kelleidoscope layers American Loral and Crystal hops with their noble ancestors, Saaz and Tettnanger in a full-bodied, unfiltered, old-world lager.

The slightest haze on the amber brew in the Stella Artois goblet with plentiful foam. Lush and creamy carbonation on the tongue. Bready and malty to start, with hints of sweetness with every sip, but nicely balanced with a fresh tang. There is an inviting note of aromatic hops. Hops are listed as Loral, Crystal, Saaz, and Tettnanger but it's quite restrained and elegantly spicy rather than bitter.

Fruity notes with the light grainy taste. This is really a tremendous beer that I wish was more available. Done well, this style is the best of the Lager world, with the lush mouthfeel and soft but aromatic flavors. From the 16 oz can purchased at the brewery restaurant in Hood River. Canned on 06/14/2021.

Can from Market of Choice.

A careful pour yields a clear, light orange with an off white head, dense and gorgeous, with nice lacing. The nose is soft yet sharp, grainy but not doughy, with a surprisingly hoppy character. For a kellerbier, this is surprisingly sharp. The palate opens with a firm hoppy character, minty and spicy with a rough grainy flavor. Delicate sweetness is present. The mid palate is a little rough, with a grain husk sharpness and the bitterness. The finish is dry, a little sweet, creamy and also a little watery. Solid.
