16oz can

Pours two fingers of soapy white head into my Willi. Despite the fizzing, retention isn’t abhorrent. Lacing is minimal. Body is golden, crystal clear, with a modest amount of bubbles coming up. Looks ok.

Nose has a graininess to it, you definitely get that corn, however it cleans up into a smooth maltiness in no time. Some sweetness. One dimensional, but it’s inviting and very clean.

Flavor is definitely malty up front. That corn is very present too, but in an authentic way - it’s bold and actually adds character to the beer. Again, super one dimensional, but tasty and very clean.

Light bodied, but a pretty high carbonation adds a lot of mouthfeel. Definitely some sweetness, but it’s appropriate. Bitterness is low. Overall a very nice, smooth mouthfeel.

Drinkability is wonderful.

Overall a lovely little lager.

Got in a BIF from snaotheus. 16 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 3/17/2022. Also says "Got Clamato?" on the bottom. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy pale golden yellow color, with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing and some streaming carbonation on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big pear, red apple, watermelon, apricot, pineapple, lemon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, corn, agave, cracker, toast, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Moderate pine, rind, herbal, woody, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-high carb, light-medium body, and fairly crisp/clean/refreshing finishing. Balanced grainy malt and sticky hops. Some lingering resin drying, with minimal astringency. Very clean lager flavors, and not overdone on adjuncts. Zero warming 4.3%. Very flavorful for the ABV, and this showcases the fruity and earthy side of El Dorado hops. Balanced clean pils/maize backbone. Also feels spot on for a Mexican style Vienna despite the pale color. No complaints.

can into glass
Quickly dissipating, frothy white head. Clear, light gold look. Balanced, light toast, caramelized malt, some light floral hop and a bit of yeast, and a touch of fruitiness, for the aroma. Moderate levels of light toast malt, a moderate spiced floral hop note and a bit of yeast accompanies the malt in the finish.

Clean flavors and clear pale amber color. Sprightly and tangy on the tongue with a very light body. I'm not sure why this isn't an Adjunct Lager, being brewed with additions of maize and agave syrup. The stuff is actually not bad, especially compared to the endless crop of "Mexican style" brews. Pleasant grainy taste with hints of mineral and straw. More of a bitter aftertaste than expected, considering the lack of hop flavors. From the 16 oz can purchased at Garden Path.

16oz can (dated 4/9/21) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a clean, clear bright gold color with over an inch of white head that good retention and light lacing.

The aroma had solid grains, and floral hops, a basic "beer" scent. Same on the tongue, solid grains and hops that provide just enough counterpoint.

The body was maybe a touch fuller than usual for the style, was smooth and even, and had a semi-sweet finish. Drinkability was good, an easy quaffer for sure. Overall, a solid and enjoyable brew. A good warm weather drinker.
