raspberries, marionberries, and huell melon hops, kettle soured it seems and nicely dont in that regard, piquant not acidic, and no more puckery than the fruit on its own, which seems juicy or even juiced in this, possibly even back sweetened with it after fermentation, pungent like that, but authentic enough to me too. love the ruby red to pinkish color and vibrancy on this, and i smell more raspberry than anything else, not jammy like marionberries often are in beer, and not hoppy really either despite some generic citrus nuance, and the taste is about the same as the aroma, raspberry way out in front, but somewhat vinous and dynamic in taste too, wanting just a little more pep to the fruit, but the tartness kind of cuts in and ramps up a little early, not a bad thing, helps it stay fast and somewhat refreshing, but it comes at the expense of the fruit in the flavor, especially the marionberry. i would like just a little more carbonation here, but its not flat, it just doesnt sing like it seems to want to. some drying tendency in the finish, summery and good, but to me not exactly what i generally come here for, diverse as they are on their beer list. better interplay between the two berries would enhance this too...
